COMCAST OLYMPICS

"3AM IN AFTON"

The small town of Afton, MN, has a tradition of getting together to watch their hometown hero, Jessie Diggins, compete in the Olympics - even if it's 3am in the morning.

We recreated the story, and then, overnight (quite literally as it was 4am EST when it happened), Jessie became an American hero as she was the first American woman to ever win a medal in cross country skiing. We reedited the spot in real time to include footage from her epic finish and aired it right after her historic race premiered in primetime.

Here's a little look at how we did it and a lot of screengrabs of tweets.

BEFORE THE GAMES BEGAN

To get people excited for the upcoming games, we made a series of quick films to introduce Americans to some of the athletes heading to PyeongChang and the hometowns that would be rooting for them.
